# Web development in Mauritius

I build websites that load fast, stay secure and are easy for your team to run. Hand-written where it matters, on a CMS where you need one, and documented so nobody is locked in.

## What is covered

01

### Company websites

Multi-page sites with a clear structure, built from a small design system rather than one-off pages.

02

### Content management

WordPress, a headless CMS or plain Markdown, chosen for how often you publish and who does it.

03

### Performance

Lean pages, optimised images and fonts, and Core Web Vitals checked on real mobile connections.

04

### Accessibility

Semantic HTML, keyboard support and colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.2 AA.

05

### Integrations

Forms, bookings, CRM, payments and analytics wired in with care for privacy.

06

### Multilingual sites

Language versions with proper hreflang, localised URLs and a language switch that remembers the choice.

Phase: Build

## How it works

1. 01

    ### Brief and audit

We agree goals, audience and scope. If you already have a site, I review what is worth keeping.

2. 02

    ### Structure and design

A sitemap and page templates, signed off before any build work starts.

3. 03

    ### Build

I build in short rounds and share a private preview link at each step.

4. 04

    ### Test and launch

Speed, accessibility, forms, redirects and analytics are checked before the switch.

5. 05

    ### Handover

Documentation, a walkthrough for your team and a care plan if you want one.

## What you get

- A fast, accessible website on hosting in your name
- A content editor set up for your team, with a short guide
- Redirects, sitemap and structured data in place
- The source code and every login handed over

### Tools I use

### The outcome

A website that loads fast, ranks on solid foundations and does not need me for every change.

Questions

## What to know before you start

How long does a website take to build?

A focused company site usually takes four to eight weeks from a signed-off brief to launch. Larger sites, migrations and custom features take longer. You get a timeline with the proposal.

Do you work with WordPress?

Yes. I build on WordPress when your team publishes often and wants a familiar editor. For sites that change less, a static build is faster, cheaper to host and harder to break.

Will I own the website?

Yes. The domain, hosting, code and content are in your name. I hand over every login and the source code at the end.

Do you work with clients outside Mauritius?

Yes. I work with businesses in Mauritius, the UK and across Europe. Calls are in English or French, and most of the work happens remotely.
