Who is responsible

This website is run by Fernand Theodore Kylasopathan, trading as Fernando Kylas (BRN I18007674), 65 Prince of Wales St., Rose Hill, 71363, Plaine Wilhems, Mauritius. For anything about your data, email thatsme@fernandokylas.com.

What I collect

When you contact me. If you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write, such as your company, the services you are interested in and details of your project. I use this only to reply and, if we work together, to run the project.

When you browse. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. I do not use analytics or advertising trackers on this site.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses one functional cookie, fk-lang, which remembers the language you chose. It lasts one year. Your choice of light or dark theme is stored in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device. There are no tracking or advertising cookies, so there is no cookie banner.

I process enquiry data because you asked me to reply (steps before a contract) and, if we work together, to perform that contract. Technical data is processed on the basis of my legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Who else handles your data

  • Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site.
  • WOHO Forms, which processes contact form submissions on my behalf.
  • My email provider, where messages are stored.

Some of these providers process data outside Mauritius and the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Project correspondence is kept for as long as needed for the project and for the period required by accounting and tax law.

Your rights

Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict its use, and receive a copy of it. Email thatsme@fernandokylas.com and I will respond within one month.

You can also complain to the Data Protection Office in Mauritius or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
