I built the custom project and portfolio system for Know House, allowing the Mauritian property developer to manage current and completed developments through a shared WordPress structure.
Context and brief
Know House needed to present beachfront developments to prospective buyers and investors. The website had to support detailed property information while maintaining a consistent presentation across its current projects and completed portfolio.
A central requirement was to avoid duplicate content entry. When a development was completed, the team wanted to move it into the portfolio without rebuilding the page or entering its details again.
My contribution
Xavier Coiffic brought the project into Fourlines Design Studio and led the UX/UI direction and part of the build. I handled the custom development for the Projects and Portfolio sections, alongside development support elsewhere on the site.
Using JetEngine and Elementor Pro, I created a shared content type with status controls that determined where each development appeared. The same underlying entry could serve as a current project or a completed portfolio item.
What was delivered
The publishing system brought together galleries, specifications, team details, maps, and selectable feature icons. Structured fields and templates allowed the client to enter information without rebuilding layouts for each development.
The result was a bilingual, responsive website with a reusable framework for property content. The team could change a development’s status while keeping its information and presentation intact, supporting the full lifecycle of a project within one system.
